Hidden Treasures of Barcelona

Curated explorations of hidden architecture, secret museums and forgotten stories through the eyes of an art curator

BARCELONA OFF THE TOURIST PATH

Philosophy

Beyond Gaudí and the famous postcards, there is another Barcelona waiting to be discovered: a city of forgotten stories, unexpected architecture, secret collections, and places where art and history meet.

I create small, intimate walks through the city's forgotten corners: unusual museums, hidden architectural gems, brutalist experiments, historic cemeteries, and places where art and history meet.

These are not sightseeing tours with a checklist. They are conversations and discoveries – a way to see Barcelona through the eyes of someone who has spent years exploring the worlds of art, culture, and storytelling.

Tours

A collection of unusual places, overlooked details and stories that rarely appear in guidebooks.
Designed for travelers who want to move beyond the standard tourist experience and discover a more authentic side of Barcelona.

Hidden Gaudí

Barcelona contains remarkable works by Antoni Gaudí that most visitors never discover.
The route may include:
• Torre Bellesguard

• Gaudí's Gate in Sarrià

• Lesser-known architectural projects

• Stories behind the development of Catalan Modernism
Perfect for visitors who have already seen Sagrada Família and Park Güell and want to go further.

The Cemeteries of Barcelona

Far more than cemeteries, Montjuïc and Poblenou are open-air museums where sculpture, symbolism, and extraordinary lives come together.

Wander through grand mausoleums, hidden stories, and local legends as Barcelona reveals itself through the artists, industrialists, revolutionaries, and dreamers who shaped the city's history.

The Frederic Marès Museum

One of Barcelona's most fascinating hidden gems. Everything you see here was collected by one man, Frederic Marès, whose lifelong obsession filled an entire museum with medieval saints, knights, relics, sculptures, and thousands of extraordinary objects.

If you're drawn to the haunting beauty of the Middle Ages and the atmosphere of Dark Medieval aesthetics, this is one of Barcelona's most unforgettable hidden treasures.

Brutalist Barcelona

Barcelona isn't just Gaudí. It's also a city of bold concrete dreams and radical architectural experiments.

From Ricardo Bofill's iconic Walden 7 and his legendary Cement Factory to the monumental Three Chimneys, we'll explore the places where visionary architects imagined the future and accidentally created some of Europe's most photogenic landmarks.

About Me

My name is Natalia Rubina.

I studied philosophy, worked as a journalist, and have spent the last decade creating contemporary art projects across Europe. I have developed immersive exhibitions inspired by the works of some of the world's greatest artists, including Van Gogh and Bosch, and worked on projects that brought art closer to wider audiences.

Today, I am part of the team behind DOM Art Residence, an international nomadic residency that has brought together more than forty contemporary artists from around the world through projects in different European cities.

Looking at cities through the eyes of artists and curators has completely changed the way I see Barcelona. And that's the perspective I invite you to experience with me.
